 Veil of Tears

The Right Reverend Marilyn Renee Ramsey is the beautiful daughter of a Methodist Minister. On her sixteenth birthday, he gave her a silver chain and a silver cross with the promise, "If you always wear this, and follow the teaching of the Bible, you will have a happy life."  She takes his promise and her religion seriously. Even when she falls in love with her soul mate, she remains true to her faith. Then comes the Vietnam War. She buries the boy she loved so deeply. Heart broken and sad, she decides to follow in her father's footsteps. Shortly after she is assigned as his Associate Pastor, her father is killed by a drunken driver. Trying to put her life back together, she marries the new principal of Ruby County High School. She could never have dreamed what a Veil of Tears she put on that Veteran's Day. Nor could she have foreseen a fraction of the things which would happen to her after that awful day. The ghost in her life became very real!

 Author's Comments:

Ruby County is a fictional place. The life and struggles depicted in the story are very real. The social, political and religious structures of the Southland is revealed.
This is the second book of my trilogy. You may read it prior to reading Praying Among the Eucalyptus without distracting from the continuity. Be sure you read both Veil of Tears and Praying Among the Eucalyptus before reading Tomorrow will be Another Day.
