The Fifth Force

Research for this book was triggered because one question loomed greatly in my mind. How does the karma we generate, return to us? The traditional proclamations about karma leave a world of questions unanswered. When we generate karma, What happens to it? Where does it go? How does it survive? Why does it wait for us? How does it come back to us? How does our karma know who we are from one life to another? How does it know where to find us? How do we know what we experience is our karma returning to us? Do we experience anything other than our karma? The questions and mysteries just go on and on. Traditional proclamations about karma leave an inquiring mind wanting.

By definition, karma is the energy created by thoughts, words and deeds which produce consequences we must face, and has the power to determine our destiny. Since karma is a topic for philosophy and metaphysics, I naturally assumed that was the place one might find the answer to my questions. To put it mildly, I was astonished at how quickly and deeply the science of physics moved to the forefront. That is not where I expected a great revelation about the vital role karma plays in every day living. In metaphysics, karma is like a vapor which goes before us to lie in the meadow awaiting the moment we will walk into that fog bank and learn some long past act has screwed up everything for us. It had never entered my mind, karma is what keeps our mind going, and the cosmos evolving.
